2004 SCAC Rules

Supplementary Regulations
  1. All SCCA Solo Events rules apply.
  2. Event chairman is in charge and has final say in all decisions.
  3. 95dba noise limit at perimeter of site. This will be enforced in 2004!
  4. Participants must work to get credit for event.
  5. All participants are expected to act in a sportsmanlike manner. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
  6. Any participant seen speeding or driving dangerously on or around the site shall be disqualified. Drivers are responsible for their crews and friends. (This means if someone’s friend, mom, dad, brother, sister or dog speeds or drives dangerously, the driver they are with is disqualified.) There will be no refund for a disqualified driver.
  7. All participants will remove all trash from their areas. If someone leaves trash then they shall lose points received at the event, and be purged from the results.
  8. There will not be bumping for cars without other competitors in their class. Instead the 2004 PAX factor will be used to determine a trophy for a class made up of all single cars. Cars without other competitors in their class will still receive 1st place SCAC points.
  9. A driver may not ride along with another driver during the event, even if they have already completed their runs (excluding fun runs). Other riders must wear a helmet and seat belt and be at least 16 years of age.

General Rules
  1. Drivers competing for SCAC points must carry an SCR-SCCA sticker/magnet and a sponsor sticker/magnet (if applicable) visible on their car.
  2. In the Event of a points tie, number of wins is used as a tiebreaker. If the competitors have the same number of wins, then number of 2nd place finishes will be counted, and so on. If there is still a tie the person who got the best finish first is the winner.
  3. Car classification will be based on 2004 SCCA Solo Events Rules.
  4. Drivers must be SCCA members to be eligible for points.
  5. Each driver's two worst points events will be dropped from their points total. This can include any events the driver did not attend.
  6. Points will be assigned as follows: 1st - 10, 2nd - 8, 3rd - 6, 4th - 5, 5th - 4, 6th - 3, 7th - 2, 8th - 1.

Open Class Rules
  1. All SCCA Solo Events rules apply.
  2. Car classification will be based on 2004 SCCA Solo Events Rules.

Novice Class Rules
  1. Novice class is open to anyone with less than one year of autocross experience.
  2. Novice results will be determined by an equalizing factor known as a PAX index (2004 index will be used).
  3. Novice class is a street tire class only; no "R" compound tires are to be run in novice class. 2004 SCCA National Street Touring Street Tire rules will determine the legality of the tire.
